Saunders Group is currently or has previously performed services for a variety of Clients, including the EBRD, ADB, ILF, Georgian Railways, Yerevan Metro, Grant Thornton, Connexxion, Batumi Bus and Batumi and Zugdidi’s Municipalities, MDF, EIB. A selection of projects are included below:

ADB Livable Cities

Since February 2020, in cooperation with COWI, Saunders Group has been contributing to the ADB Livable Cities project by determining projects suitable for funding by Asian Development Bank, intended to improve the livability and business opportunities for local populations in Zugdidi, Mestia, and Telavi.

Supervision services for RMG

Saunders Group Ltd is currently working with RMG, an important client, to provide Contract Management, Design Review, and Site Supervision services for their ongoing projects at their operational facilities in the Bolnisi region. Such projects include the supervision of construction of water pipelines, factor buildings for housing important new production lines of their gold mining process, and design review for upcoming buildings and infrastructure.

Solid Waste Management Program (SWMP) for Kakheti and Samegrelo

Since the end of 2019, in JV with CDM Smith (Germany), Saunders Group has been working on the SWMP project for Kakheti and Samegrelo, involving the site selection and design for modern European Standard waste land fills, transfer stations, and collection networks for the regions of Kakheti and Samegrelo.

Batumi Coastal Protection

Since the beginning of 2017, Saunders Group, in partnership with Technital of Italy, have been providing supervision services to MDF on the Batumi Coastal Protection project, funded by ADB. The project involves the construction of a revetment to provide protection against erosion of the southern portion of the coastline.

SDSUG STEM Laboratory and Lecture Hall Renovations

From 2016 onwards, Saunders Group have been providing Design and Supervision services to Sand Diego State University Georgia for the renovation of Chemical and Electrical Laboratories, Physics Labs, and Lecture Halls at TSU XI and TSU II campuses, a modern STEM teaching area in the TSU Central Library, and the supervision of fit-out works at the new building constructed at ISU.

Batumi Public Transport Projects

Projects funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) to improve bus service capacity and introduce European ticketing practices were successfully completed from 2009 through to 2011. Future projects in the pipeline include the introduction of a European standard passenger transfer terminal and new bus network to further develop Batumi’s image as a reformer in the region while presenting itself as a modern European City.

Water Supply and Sanitation

Projects funded by the European Investment Bank through MDF to supervise the installation of water supply and sanitation systems for 21 cities across the entire territory of Georgia.

Currently, Saunders Group is working on the design process for the new Kutaisi Waste Water Treatment Plant and Sewage Network renewal project financed by EIB, and will be involved in the implementation phase as Supervising Engineers

Georgian Railway Infrastructure Projects

Saunders Group is the proud provider of local project management support to the largest infrastructure projects currently in Georgia. These projects aim to modernise Georgian Railway and divert cargo traffic away from the capital city.

Armenian Infrastructure Projects

Saunders Group has been providing specialist consulting support to Yerevan Metro in its efforts to restructure its company into a more efficient operation. Consulting services were provided from 2010 to 2011.

IDP Housing Rehabilitation project

Saunders Group Ltd signed a $750 000 contract to supervise an IDP Housing Rehabilitation project in Georgia. The Project started in March 2014 and was funded by The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)  and was executed by  Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF). Saunders Group Ltd completed this project alongside international companies Voyants Solutions (India) and BETS consulting (Bangladesh). Saunders Group Engineers along with international experts provided full scale supervision of the IDP rehabilitation and reconstruction project.
